- Known as the "Gem of the North", Silverymoon is a center for knowledge and culture that is found on the edge of a savidge frontier. It is a city where the trees and buildings co-exist in beautiul harmony. The buildings appear to have grew out of the ground, like the trees that cover the city (see Silverymoon.png). The city itself is full of knowledge, and most of its inhabitants are educated in one way or another. Wonderful music constantly flows through the streets.
- The city is is divided into two major sections. The Northern part of the city is the older part of Silverymoon where the Southern part is newer and smaller. The River Ravuin divides the Northern part of the city from the Southern part. The two are joined together by a magical construct known as the Moonbridge (see silverymoon-moonbridge.png) and is one of the most famous features of the city.
- Silverymoon is ruled by the High Mage of Silverymoon, which is currently held by Taern Hornblade. He has a number of subordinate to assist him including the head of the Spellguard, Lord Warder Jorus Azuremantle, and the head of the Knights in Silver, Grand Commander Sernius Alathar.
- Another feature of the city is its wards. The city is protected by an ancient magic power whose details are unknown to most. The common folk of Silverymoon know that the wards help protect the city. Less common details about the wards are known by spellcasters who live in the city. Spells with the death, evil, or teleportation descriptor, Conjuration (summoning), and Evocation [fire] have no effect inside the warded area.
